Summary/Scope

The Translational Development group is seeking a self-motivated, energetic candidate with strong background in cellular immunology and molecular biology. The primary focus of this position will be to lead various efforts aimed at leveraging human omics data to help identifying/validating early drug targets and shape patient segmentation strategy for more advanced drug discovery programs in immunology/inflammation-related diseases. The candidate will also coordinate internal and external efforts aimed at evaluating the functional impact of disease-associated human polymorphism using engineered cell lines and/or primary human cells.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Ph.D. in the field of Immunology and Inflammation with at least 4 years of work experience. Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years’ work experience, or Master’s degree with at least 10 years’ work experience.

  • Previous working experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferable

  • Research experience in inflammatory & autoimmune diseases is required.

  • Experience in translational research, human genetics or functional genomics is preferable

  • Hands-on experience in isolation, culture, and characterization of cell lines and human primary cells

  • Hands-on experience with common immunological assays (cell activation/proliferation, ELISA, flow cytometry)

  • Experience with a wide array of bioinformatics tools is preferable

  • Experience in generating and/or interpreting genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics data is preferable

  • Outstanding experimental design, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration and organizational skills

  • Able to distill complex issues and clearly articulate innovative solutions

  • Ability to demonstrate effectiveness and growth in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.

  • Excellent record of performance and scientific accomplishments as demonstrated by impactful contributions to the scientific community, pipeline contributions, peer reviewed publications and patent applications.
