I&I Business Unit Project Leadership

  • Overall design & coordination of I&I Business unit planning calendar (major internal and external events)

  • Ensure coordination between Sales Team and Marketing teams on S&M projects. Ensures coordination & collaboration with other functions (e.g. Medical Affairs, Market Access, Corporate Affairs)

  • Support Business Unit Director in design & preparation of key I&I events/ activities: International meetings, cycle meetings, external customer interactions, cross functional facilitation, etc.

  • Coordinate Brand Plan and Business Reviews process (agendas, slides, etc)

  • Lead preparation of Business Cases (related to territories, in-line products, etc), including sizing of the commercial opportunities, resource needs, etc.

Business Execution:

  • Review, comment and input into sales business plan within the country and collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams in the execution of the commercial strategy (e.g. RAPIDs meeting)

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Sales Departments to ensure that strategic brand plan & regional plans are fully synchronized (Brand planning vs. territory planning)

  • Support Marketing & Sales Departments goal-setting process at various levels (national, regionals, etc.): action-oriented objectives that support and grow market share and franchise profitability

  • Support the commercial organization to foster a Sales Excellence culture; support RMBs & SRs in further developing their capabilities

  • Support and interact with RBMs to optimize salesforce activities from a workload, territory, planning, follow up & objectives perspective. Support identification of growth opportunities and action planning.

  • Entertain exchange, dialogue and build relationships with selected prescribing physicians/key opinion leaders to ensure foundational understanding of the market reality

  • Oversees the Revenues and OPEX budgeting process nationwide (at national & territory level)

  • Regularly monitor and track sales performance including the use of budget and resources

  • Liaise with Sales Force Effectiveness in incentive planning, sales resources allocation and analytics tools

  • Set up implementation of tactical pilots and monitor performance

  • Suggest account prioritization and monitor evolution

Business Analytics

  • Set up and monitor Business KPIs. Establish and provide regular monthly/ quarterly data reporting of relevant market data to cross functional teams

  • Identify and easily communicate sources of growth are and propose solutions to tackle deviations

  • Create non-standard metrics that anticipate the national, territory or account trends, so to facilitate BUD and Commercial team to respond ahead of time

  • Develop strategic marketing forecast templates and methodology and completes scenario analyses at direction of the BUD for I&I franchise.

  • Analyzes data and evaluates the success of strategies, tactics, product themes and positioning of Celgene and competitor products

  • Lead Situation Analysis set in Brand Plan and Business Reviews

Competitive Intelligence / Market Research

  • Collect needs for market research activities, coordinates execution, reports status to BUD and other sales and marketing personnel as required.

  • Coordinates the analysis of key competitors’ activities and developments in relevant markets, and the impact on product marketing

  • Liaise with the Market Research teams to ensure appropriate implementation of market research projects including both primary research and secondary data analysis in the support of new and established products in Inflammation & Immunology (I&I)

  • Ensures analysis, interpretation, and presentation of the study results to all necessary parties within Sales and Marketing

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Educational Background and Complementary Knowledge

  • Science degree (pharmacy, biology) required, BA helpful but not required

  • MBA or equivalent education preferred

  • Inflammation & Immunology market knowledge highly preferred

  • Working knowledge of statistical and financial analysis methodology

  • Computer Literature: Good Knowledge at user level of Microsoft Office and Statistical tools (SPSS-alike)

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Work Experience

  • 3+ Sales management experience (e.g. RBM) highly recommended/ required

  • 3+ Marketing experience (e.g. Marketing Manager) highly recommended/ required

  • 3+ years analytics, market research or business planning experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry

  • Inflammation & Immunology market experience highly preferred

  • International market analysis experience desirable
