The Associate Director (Ozanimod), Patient Support will play a key role in the development and management of our broad patient access support services and reimbursement strategies across the Celgene Immunology and Inflammation portfolio for current and future pipeline products, with primary focus on the buildout of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) programs for Ozanimod and potential future indications. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys developing solutions that improve patient access to medications and treatment. This person will be responsible for implementing and managing programs, responding to daily customer issues / resolution and serving as a point of contact for Celgene Sales and Marketing teams, Market Access, Legal/Compliance and external vendors.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Initial primary focus on the strategic planning and buildout of major areas of Patient Services for Ozanimod, including but not limited to infrastructure supporting patient initiation requirements.

  • Coordination of services between HUB, Clinical Vendors, SPs, and MS Centers of Excellence

  • Manage operations of key patient support programs, to ensure high quality performance and adherence to contractual requirements.

  • Coordination of data strategy in support of positive patient and physician experience.

  • Lead the development of analytics and audits that drive patient support program optimization.

  • Identify customer, access, and program performance trends that require escalationand follow through to resolution.

  • Hold vendors accountable to Key Performance Indicators throughout term of contract.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled vendor site visits and/or business reviews.

  • Negotiate viable contracts within the established budget parameters.

  • Implement strategic new services, program enhancements, and operational efficiencies.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Celgene business partners in Sales, Managed Markets, Trade, and Marketing teams.

  • Work across US Market Access Managed Care Teams and closely with the Field Reimbursement Team to assist with resolution of program escalations.

  • Work in conjunction with finance, legal, regulatory and compliance personnel across program details, gross to net calculations, fees, etc.

  • Develop and manage budget and/or forecast for select patient support services.

  • Maintain program correspondence, scripting and collateral via Celgene internal legal and regulatory approval process.

  • Support evolution and buildout of cross-franchise Patient Services solutions and program efficiency opportunities.

  • Ability to manage 25% travel.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, or experience with patient services.

  • Ability to strategically develop simple solutions around complex needs.

  • Ability to create and maintain program documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and training materials.

  • Ability to develop effective reporting and analytics to measure program performance, reimbursement and access, patient adherence to therapy, and pharmacy performance.

  • Track record of successfully managing vendor relationships.

  • Strong financial acumen and analytic skills.

  • Strong writing and presentation skills.

  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute, follow up and anticipate problems.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline driven, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Ability to influence across functions to gain consensus on solutions.
