Celgene Senior Manager, Data & Reporting in Summit, New Jersey

In an effort to exceed strategic and operational requirements, this business-critical Data & Reporting position will optimize new launches and current business by generating proprietary insights based on Celgene’s recent investments in new data architecture. This role will manage our internal and external sources of data and provide reporting to US Commercial teams for making business decisions, setting strategies, and providing insights.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead data modernization project to build state-of-the-art data warehouse

  • Manage database design, ETL, data processing, data governance & QC of 80+ data sources

  • Provide data, automation and reporting support for key brands and digital strategy

  • Develop KPIs and dashboards for functional areas

  • Lead data asset evaluation and strategy

  • Automate manual processes

  • Act as a liaison with external vendors to manage data assets

  • Other responsibilities as deemed necessary

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, data mining, machine learning, engineering, or related quantitative discipline

  • Masters in quantitative discipline or MBA preferred

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in database design, ETL, data processing, data governance and insight generation from US commercial data e.g. Symphony, IMS, affiliations, customer master, specialty products

  • Experience in computer programming and analytics, e.g. Alteryx, SQL, R, SAS, Python, Matlab

  • Experience in Tableau and other visualization tools

  • Oncology commercial experience preferred

  • Experience with REMS data or in sales operations e.g. incentive compensation, Veeva preferred

  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration skills

  • Possesses high level initiative, ability to multi-task, and is passionate about asking and answering questions in large datasets

  • Project management experience preferred

  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), with the ability to communicate across multiple functions and levels

  • Some travel may be required
